SYNC EQUALS DANGER: Some syncs can and will brick players on your server if someone with a save with progression joins your server. For public servers (no password/LIST PUBLICLY) most sync options should definitely be OFF!

Bugs & issues

If you have any issues:

• Try restarting the server
• Your ping should be <=60ms or you may experience desync
• Ask in the Milk Bar Studios Discord Server

This system only runs the BOTWMP Dedicated Server software. If you find a bug in the server hosting side let us know on our discord. We can not help with issues with the mod itself.

How many servers can I create?

You can create up to four (4) concurrently running servers. If you need more, contact us on discord.

For how long will my server run?

After creating a server it will be set to expire in four (4) hours from now. You can extend the time when your server expires by another four (4) hours, as often as you like.

Your server can have a maximum expiration time of eight (8) hours into the future. If you need a longer expiration time or a permanent server, contact us on discord.

Will I lose my progress when the server expires?

No, the server does not contain or save any of your game data. If your server expires, simply start a new one and you can continue where you have left off.

Why is this free?

The BOTWMP server software requires only few system resources, and our servers are powerful. This way we can easily provide 32* free game servers to anyone who needs it.

We never take any money or donations from our community, this is no different.

*For the moment we have set the server limit to 1000 to stress test the system, we will adjust the maximum server count according to the results but expect 32 to be the absolute minimum.

What is the advantage to using this service instead of hosting it myself?

You will have to set up port forwarding on your router. If that is not a problem for you then you can easily host the server yourself.

Otherwise if you don’t know how to set up port forwarding or don’t want to use extra software, such as Hamachi, this service provides the easiest and most convenient way to get your own server, right now, for free.

Also, if you want to quit but your friends still want to continue playing, you’d have to keep the server running for them. Let us do that instead!

Can my friends extend a server that I created?

Yes, extending or checking the server is all done through the server ID you received when you first created the server. Anyone with that ID can check the status, use RCON, extend and restart the server.

Where are the servers located?

The servers are located in a data centre in Falkenstein/Vogtland, Germany. Ping bloodisgood.org to get your ping! It is not recommended to use this service if your ping exceeds 60ms.

What is to come

Since the whole BOTW:MP stuff is very new, we’re also in the process of figuring out how it all works and how we can interface with it. Within the next few days you should see the following new features:
– Using server commands (Teleport, Time, Weather, etc) – partially done
– Gamemodes configuration
– Changing server configuration (Sync, Gamemode, Password)
– Restarting servers (to revert saves or if it crashed)
– Server log

Your data

This service uses no additional cookies.

We will store your IP address and the server password (if provided) for each server that you create. Once the server expires, all data associated with it will be deleted. We do not store any of your data for longer than the server runtime.

Your IP address will be used to limit how many servers you can create and for rate limiting. Nothing else.

The password is stored in plain text on the server. Please do not use personal passwords!

Abuse

Please respect this service for the enjoyment that it is trying to provide. Do not abuse it by circumventing the server limit.
